BigBuy is characterised by being a wholesale B2B platform specialising in the supply of a multitude of products to clients who sell on the online channel. Until now, our product catalogue only contained new, unused products but, from 19th October 2020, we are expanding our catalogue to include products in different conditions (Perfect, As New, Very good, Good Condition, Correct and Not Working). In this way, you can sell more and your customers can buy at better prices.
These products will be ready to synchronise with your business both through the Multi-Channel Integration Platform for marketplaces and software ecommerces, and via API or CSV/XML.
Is any type of configuration required in order to synchronise these products?
- To work in the marketplaces through the MIP, you don’t need to do anything as the condition of the products will synchronise automatically.
- If you have created your own ecommerce and you work through the MIP, it is very easy. You will have the condition of the product in the product information and you just need to make sure that this information is displayed in the store’s product details.
- If you have a dropshipping 360º shop, it is very easy. The condition of the product will be sent to your store. If it is not displaying in the product details, contact us and we will help you to display it.
- If you have a synchronisation with BigBuy through the API, we have a new attribute in the /products and /product/ID reference which is called condition. You will find the information there.
- If you carry out the synchronisation through CSV or XML, there is a column/attribute called condition in which the condition of the product is stated.
Possible values for the condition field:
NEW | REFURBISHED_A_PLUS | REFURBISHED_A |
REFURBISHED_B | REFURBISHED_C | REFURBISHED_D |
- If you carry out the synchronisation through PrestaShop CSV, there is a column called condition where the condition of the product is stated. In this case, due to limitations of PrestaShop, the only 2 values are new and refurbished
Note! By default, the products in different conditions will synchronise automatically in your sales channel. If you want to exclude this type of product, you should do so on the MIP or in the synchronisation with the API, if applicable.
Bear in mind that they are products with the same EAN but with a different SKU. On the BigBuy website, you will see them as different products because we use the SKU as the main product reference. On your sales channel they can either be treated as the same product in different conditions or as different products, depending on whether the channel uses the EAN or SKU as the main reference.
There is a particularly important difference between these products and second hand products and it is important to make it clear that this new type of product on BigBuy, with different conditions, has not been used before. The products may be display items, items returned by customers after receiving them, rejected packages from transport agencies; or products that originally had small malfunctions or aesthetic blemishes and which have been reconditioned so that they work like new products again.
What are the advantages of these products?
- Even more items in BigBuy’s catalogue!
- Many marketplaces have enormous potential for the sale of products that are not new, which enables an increase in sales.
- You can sell reconditioned products in your ecommerce by stating their condition.
- Help to reduce the carbon footprint by giving a new life to products that would otherwise be destroyed in spite of being in good condition.
What type of condition are the products in?
- A+ / Perfect: products in perfect condition, but whose original packaging may have been opened or may have been replaced.
- A / As New: products in perfect condition, as new, whose original packaging may have been opened or damaged, or may have been replaced.
- B / Very Good: products in very good condition, with possible slight aesthetic imperfections, that work perfectly and whose original packaging may have been opened or slightly damaged.
- C / Good Condition: products in good condition, with possible aesthetic imperfections, that work perfectly and whose original packaging may have been opened or slightly damaged.
- D / Correct: products in correct condition, with possible aesthetic imperfections or with an accessory missing, that work perfectly and whose original packaging may have been opened or slightly damaged.

Do I have to put the product status on my site! I do not want only new products, I do not want to place a choice of used or other products on my site, is this mandatory ?!
